Taipa Village

Taipa Village is home to the "old" part of Taipa, a fun "touristy" area with many eateries, schools, and shops. The area is quite safe as well... school children wander the streets stopping by the shops and restaurants until late in the night. This area is a short walk from the Venetian, and I've frequently guided visitors between the two places.

There are several streets in this neighborhood that are lined exclusively with restaurants. Everything you can imagine is here - Indian, Thai, Mexican, Italian and American cuisine along with the typical Portuguese, Macanese and Chinese-style restaurants. The area is considered to be more pricey than the places the locals congregate, but you would find that the prices at the most expensive places are no more than a nice eatery in the USA. This area is quite nice and relaxing to visit, and I highly recommend it if you're ever fortunate enough to be in the area. See the pictures below!

Down the road to Taipa Village

Mainly American grill, quite delicious when I stopped by some time
ago! Check out the "Restaurants" page for more details.

Mexican eatery!

School for kids perhaps?

Taipa Village is also home to a UPS outlet. Stop on by to send packages!
